She currently lives and works in the Bay Area of northern California. For the past two years, she' been a vital member of the team of experience designers at George P. Johnson. In her function as the creative lead for client Sun Microsystems, Christie deployed a high-level creative solution across every facet of the JavaOne Conference: window graphics, on-site structures, signage, banners, flyers, email templates and web banners. Before moving to California, she worked four years as senior designer for a boutique design and print studio in Baltimore. She gained extensive experience with tradeshows and exhibits as well as print collateral and web design. She co-authored the book, The Designer’s Prepress Companion, and has a thorough understanding of print production. Sites Designed Christie designed the PUSH site with a combination of CSS, Dreamweaver, Fireworks and hand-coding, while Marigold uses a pre-existing Flash template. Push Physical Theatre | Marigold Fund Student work at RIT Christie attended Rochester Institute of Technology from 1999-2001. She completed the sophomore and junior year core curriculum in Graphic Design, then earned a Masters of Science in Printing with a focus on Graphic Arts Publishing. Undergraduate Work For her undergraduate degree, Christie attended Hampshire College where she majored in Fine Art and Literary Journalism. Her senior project, Painted Selves, was a series of oil paintings and charcoal drawings created exclusively from memory. |
